About the artist
Thank you for visiting my original paintings.
A self-taught artist, I have always enjoyed being out in nature getting my hands dirty. I have always been drawn to the sea and the different moods it brings.
I rekindled my enjoyment for abstract canvas work whilst messing around with canvas and my then toddlers. The natural and intuitive way they enjoy mark-making was quite inspiring and happily led me back to painting for enjoyment.
Following a number of successful commissioned pieces I have been encouraged to take the leap into putting my artwork out for a wider audience, whilst developing my style.
My abstract paintings hopefully represent a feeling of the sea and sky as much as any specific place or time. My gallery represents multi-layered artworks with a focus on texture.
I work with Acrylic paint and mixed media on canvas. These paintings are gradually built with layers of texture and marks, changing fluidly with each application to create depth in each piece.
